The Field
COGS came into being to improve the village playing field which over the years had become a very boggy, almost unusable space. The first step was to level an area and vastly improve it's drainage. Alongside that paths, flower beds and gym equipment were added.
Fields In Trust
Fields in Trust is an independent charity with over 90 years’ experience protecting parks and green spaces. They work with local authorities and land owner to support the preservation of green spaces. Thanks to COGS' partnership with Fields in trust the playing field in Furness Vale is now protected.
